Maybelline Vivids Lip Swatches & Review

 "Shocking Coral"
Shocking Coral is definitely a coral lipstick mixed with pink in it. It has kind of a neon-ish look to it which is good if you want a BAM in your face lip color. It's really pretty and very spring appropriate.

 "Fuchsia Flash"
Fuchsia Flash is a neon pink color with hints of a blueish undertone to it. It's really loud but really pretty. A nice statement to your lips, perfect for spring and summer!

"Hot Plum"
Hot Plum is my absolute favorite! I feel like this color isn't as neon as the others and I'll be able to wear it on the regular. It's bright but not loud, does that even make sense? It's a mixture of pink & purple together but more on the pinker side.

"Vibrant Mandarin"
Vibrant Mandarin is a mixture of orange and red put together. It's a little tricky because lipsticks that are more "yellowish" make my teeth look yellow. Lol. Such a pretty color but it's something I'm definitely not used to. Such a bold statement color!

Overall, I love these lipsticks! I'm surprised at how vibrant and opaque they are. You don't have to apply a large coat to achieve such great payoff. They're moisturizing & they feel great on. Also, they are super inexpensive! They retail for $5.50 at Walmart and $5.54 at target, can't beat that! The color selection is pretty awesome, too. I might want to try the other colors, we'll see!

So the other week, I caught this terrible cough and I felt so sick! I was in terrible shape and I just looked so blah. In this video, I show you what type of makeup I use & how I apply it so I don't look deadly. It's amazing what makeup can do, especially to a sick face! LOL.

Make sure you heavily moisturize! Whether it's your lips, face, and/or body. Drink tons of water also. I noticed that when I was sick, I was always dehydrated and it showed a lot through my skin. I love the Korres Wild Rose Moisturizer. It's my holy grail product!

February Favorites!

It's that time of the month again! February favorites is now up with so many exciting new items. I feel like I've been purchasing way more makeup than I usually do. I hope I don't start hoarding again, lol. I really try to use all the makeup I can so it doesn't go to waste. But I've been doing a great job at returning the items I don't like! LOL. I've had great luck returning stuff at Target & Walmart.

Closet Tour & Organizational Ideas

I'm a huge fan of organizing things. I feel like when I organize things around me, it's a reflection of my life so therefor my life is organized! LOL. My closet is like my little sanctuary with only my things, I love it! Trust me, I always get rid of stuff because I hate clutter and to much of something is always bad. My rule is when I buy something, I get rid of something. Plus, it feels amazing to get rid of stuff. I'm definitely the opposite of a hoarder. HAHA.

IMATS LA!

I had such a blast at IMATS! It's definitely a makeup junkie's dream since IMATS offers makeup at a discount price. I didn't go crazy like I did these past couple of years but I made sure to walk out with things I wanted!

IMATS stands for International Makeup Artist Trade Show and they have shows all over the world! I plan on going to the New York & Canada shows one day. Maybe next year? Tickets go on sale a couple months before the show and it's around $40-$45 depending on when you get them. I always purchase mine a couple months in advance just because they've sold out many of times before.

Thank you to everyone that said hi! I love meeting you all and it's so gratifying!

A lot of you guys has requested I do a first impression on the Nearly Naked Line by Revlon. Boy am I impressed alright. I've always been a huge fan of Revlon foundations (Colorstay Whipped, Colorstay, & Photoready) so I'm even happier that the Nearly Naked is as good! Being that I have a ton of acne scarring & discoloration, it's important to have a foundation that can cover and will actually last. This foundation & powder looks so natural on but still provides awesome coverage. I'm going to of course keep trying it and see if it continues to amaze me. So far, I'm lovin' it!

Products Mentioned:

This picture was taken 7.5 hours after I applied the foundation and powder. The coverage still remained but I did notice that my forehead was oily. Not a surprise, since my forehead does get super oily no matter what foundation I use. HAHA.
